Mainzer Tor in Waldenburg

Wanted to buy cakes there today and so logically parked in the customer parking lot in front of the house. When we wanted to go to the bank shortly beforehand to withdraw money, a member of staff rushed out to ask if we would like to see her in the café. Our answer, slightly surprised by the harsh tone, was that we wanted to buy cake there, and her answer was: It would be better. We parked right away and bought our cake next door. A bottomless cheek to be so sloppy with potential customers. Goodbye forever!

Great family-run hotel in 2 buildings. The main building allows a magnificent panoramic view of the valley-side surroundings. The second house right next door has modern and tastefully furnished rooms. The staff is always friendly and you always feel welcome as a guest in a family atmosphere.

Super unfriendly staff. Visit not recommended. Never again!

A great hotel. We stayed at the Panoramahotel a week before, but we liked this a lot better. Very nice rooms everything very spacious. And a family warmth that convince. Hope we get the opportunity to stay here again.

A very nice, recently renovated room. There was a large desk and a very good wireless connection. The bathroom was spacious, very clean, the hot water was fast and adequate. The reception on my arrival was very cordial. The breakfast the next morning was good and plentiful. There were fresh rolls from our own bakery. The owner talked to me very pleasant and interesting about the history of the place and the hotel. I'm looking forward to staying here again

Our 1st stay was beautiful. Our room was nice and clean, the breakfast varied and delicious. A fantastic view of the whole valley! The homemade cake was also delicious 😋! Thank you also for the warm hospitality! We will be back!

We stayed at the Mainzer Tor Waldenburg for a few days, the rooms were very clean and the breakfast was very tasty. The staff was therefore very friendly. We are very satisfied!

Great family business! Even after a late arrival, a personal approach and a friendly welcome. Modern rooms, everything you need. Cozy breakfast with a great view and pleasantly friendly staff. Again and again, definitely recommended!
